Vinh Linh trench and Vinh Moc tunnels seek special national relic status

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has asked the central Quang Tri provincial People’s Committee to coordinate with relevant agencies to compile a dossier on the Vinh Linh trench - Vinh Moc tunnels complex for recognition as special national relics.


Vietjet Air opens new air route to Singapore

Vietnamese budget carrier VietJet Air has announced it will launch a new international route between HCM City and Singapore as of May 23.  


Tourist numbers to Hanoi up in first quarter

Hanoi welcomed 4.87 million domestic tourists and 705,000 foreign arrivals in the first quarter of 2014, up 8 percent and 15 percent respectively from the same period last year.

In addition to upgrading facilities, the city is also developing new tourism products to attract visitors, such as marionette shows and cheo singing (Vietnamese opera) performances.

 

Hanoi has invested in improving the quality of infrastructure and services at its cultural heritage sites, including Ngoc Son Temple, Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) and Hoa Lo prison.

Phu Tho boosts investment in tourism

Initially, the province will focus on completing 5 major projects to put into operation before 2020, including Hung King Temple National tourism complex, ecotourism site of Xuan Son National Park (Tan Son District), Thanh Thuy Mineral Water Resort (Thanh Thuy District), tourism areas of Van Lang, Bach Hac – Ben Got.
